Meadow Mountain Youth Center (MMYC) opened in June 1958 as the Meadow Mountain Forestry Camp for Boys. MMYC is a secure program that specializes in treating youth with substance abuse issues. The facility serves up to 40 male youth primarily from ages 14 to 18. The substance abuse treatment program is a 6-month program and can be extended longer, if necessary.
In addition to the focus on substance abuse treatment, MMYC also provides dietary, medical, educational and counseling services as well as space for recreation. The youth residing at MMYC attend school in the facility year round, five days a week for six hours a day.
